How about an 'American Idol' holiday special? - Idol Chatter: American Idol News, Rumors, & Information: "Why not bring back An American Idol Christmas?
This special aired in 2003 and featured Kelly Clarkson, Ruben Studdard, Clay Aiken and lots of others. But since next year Idol will have 10 seasons under its belt, it makes sense to revive that tradition for several reasons.
American Idol has lots more big draws to choose from now than it did after two seasons. Instead of having to flesh out the show with American Juniors washouts, you've got 10 years' worth of Idols now. Bring back Kelly, Ruben and Clay but add Carrie Underwood, Daughtry, Kris Allen, Adam Lambert, David Cook, Fantasia, Constantine Maroulis, Jennifer Hudson, etc., to the list. That's a lineup worth staying home for."
