"Today's 'HD Hottie' is Carrie Underwood, who will star on The American Country Awards tonight in high-def on Fox, at 8 p.m. ET.
The 27-year-old singer, who was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma, got her first big break in 2005 when she won the fourth season of Fox's American Idol.
Since then, Carrie has recorded the hit albums Some Hearts and Carnival Ride and she has been a popular artist on tour circuit. Last February, she won a Grammy for Best Female Country Vocal Performance for the third straight year. Her hit single, Just a Dream, was nominated for Video of the Year at the Country Music Association awards. And she released her third album, Play On, in November 2009.
