Steve Forbes’ Interview With Todd Morgan - Steve Forbes - Fact and Comment - Forbes

Steve Forbes’ Interview With Todd Morgan - Steve Forbes - Fact and Comment - Forbes: "Forbes: Well, take entertainment or athletics, it’s so ephemeral. Here today, gone tomorrow.

Morgan: Yes, and the other thing is when things get great, they’re all in. When you read the market’s going to a new high in the year ‘99, 2000, when things were hot, we had celebrities’ wives out-performing us because they were day-trading these internet stocks that we wouldn’t touch. So it’s a whole different world. Our responsibility and job is to keep them wealthy and make sure that they don’t do anything crazy.

And at the same time, right now what we’ve been doing in the last year is taking them out of the bunker. Most of them have been in the bunker because they’re so nervous about what happened earlier and the business is not so hot in the entertainment world. We’re moving that money into some growth and blue chips, large cap, multinational companies. And we do it, you know, in bits and pieces, small, so people feel comfortable.
