Popular programs dropped by DirecTV: MTV, BET, Comedy Central, and Nickelodeon


Wednesday morning's headlines gave bombshell news to 20 million customers ofDirecTV. The news will disappoint many parents who depend on Nickelodeon or MTVto entertain the family. Viacom is raising rates to DirecTV by over 30% - or 1 billion dollars.

The fee increase has hit 26 programming choices provided by Viacom including: CMT, Logo, MTV, BET, Comedy Central, andNickelodeon.
